We’re a small family in Saginaw, Michigan with a deep love for dogs, raising our pups in a home-first environment where they’re part of daily life from the very beginning. Our focus is on health, temperament, and creating strong, confident companions that are ready for family life, work, or adventure.
Milli is our sweet and playful Siberian Husky, and Shadow is our loyal, intelligent German Shepherd. Together, they make beautiful Shepsky puppies with a great balance of energy, affection, and smarts. We raise all our puppies hands-on, right in our home, with lots of early socialization, basic training, and love.
Our goal is to raise happy, well-adjusted dogs and help match each puppy with a home that fits. We’re always happy to answer questions and share more about our dogs, how we raise them, and what to expect from a Shepsky pup.

Milli and Shadow's upcoming litter HAS ARRIVED, and we're expecting a group of smart, social, and cuddly Shepsky puppies. Based on their past litters and the parents' temperaments, these pups are likely to be highly intelligent, eager to engage, quick to bond with people and large. We expect a nice range of energy levels, with some puppies leaning more playful and active while others will be naturally calm and affectionate.
Whether you're looking for a hiking buddy or a cuddle companion, this litter should offer a great mix of both. Early socialization and gentle training will start from day one to help each pup grow into a confident and loving companion.

Shade, Radar, and Nova are from Milli and Shadow’s previous litters, and they each show different sides of their Shepsky heritage. Watching them grow has helped us understand the variety of personalities these pups can have. All three are intelligent, affectionate, and family-oriented, but each one brings their own style and energy to the mix.
Shade is the oldest and brings a calm, steady presence to the pack. He’s thoughtful and observant, often taking his time before jumping into new situations. Shade is smart, very sweet, and quirky—more of a watcher than a doer. He has a strong voice and knows how to use it. His favorite activity is blowing bubbles in his water bowl. He’s a loyal companion who likes calm settings and meaningful connection.
FUTURE STUD
Radar is the true middle child: big-hearted, big-bodied, 1000% floof. He’s the most affectionate of the three and loves being around people and playing fetch. Radar has a higher activity level than Shade, but in shorter bursts—he’s all in for playtime and then ready for a long nap on the sofa. His favorite activity is stealing the empty water bowl. Social and outgoing, he’s the first to greet visitors and thrives on super kisses!
Nova is full of spark and personality. She’s playful, sweet, and carries herself with a bit of sass. She enjoys a good run around the yard but is just as happy curled up next to you on the couch. Independent and confident, Nova loves going for walks and exploring, making her a great mix of energy and relaxation. Her favorite activity is swimming in the water bowl! She’s quick to learn and even quicker to charm.
DAME
Milli is our quirky, lovable Siberian Husky with a big personality and a heart to match. She’s playful, a little goofy, and always nearby—she prefers to be right in the middle of whatever we’re doing. Unlike most Huskies, Milli is surprisingly quiet, choosing company over conversation. She’s endlessly curious, expressive, and always finding creative ways to make us laugh. Whether she’s flopping into a weird sleeping pose or sneaking in for a nuzzle, she keeps the house lively and full of character. Milli is a devoted and attentive mother, and her puppies inherit her friendly nature, expressive charm, and love for being close to their people.
STUD
Shadow is our all-black German Shepherd and the proud sire of our Shepsky litters. He’s big, striking, and carries himself with a natural confidence—but behind that strong build is a goofy, affectionate dog who loves his people deeply. Shadow is incredibly smart and observant, often figuring things out before we do, but he’s also playful and full of personality. He’ll go from calmly watching the yard to zooming in circles like a puppy, then flop down next to us for a nap. He’s loyal, gentle, and loves being included in everything we do. Shadow thrives in the snow, enjoys being the center of attention, and always finds a way to make us smile. His puppies inherit his intelligence, expressive nature, and strong family bond.
Bringing home a Shepsky is a long-term commitment, and we want every puppy to be matched with a home that understands their needs and is ready to meet them. These dogs are intelligent, energetic, and emotionally connected to their families. To help you prepare, we’ve outlined some key things every potential owner should know.
Shepskies are generally healthy, but like all breeds, they can be prone to certain inherited conditions. Common concerns include hip and elbow dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, and eye conditions such as PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) and juvenile cataracts. Large breeds also have a higher risk for bloat, so it’s important to monitor feeding times and avoid vigorous activity immediately after meals. We recommend regular vet checkups, maintaining a healthy weight, and investing in high-quality food designed for large-breed dogs.
These are large, athletic dogs that need room to move. A secure, fenced yard is strongly recommended. A fenced yard is ideal, as Shepskies are known to be both agile and clever when it comes to testing boundaries. If you live in an apartment or a home without a yard, daily exercise routines and mental stimulation become even more important.
Shepskies need daily physical and mental activity to stay balanced. Walks alone are not enough—these dogs benefit from playtime, training games, hikes, and problem-solving tasks. Smart toys, agility equipment, and regular interaction keep them focused and prevent boredom-related behavior issues. They thrive in homes that can provide structure, enrichment, and consistent routines.
These are large, growing dogs with higher nutritional needs, especially during puppyhood. We recommend feeding a high-protein, large-breed puppy food until they reach full maturity, then transitioning to an adult formula that supports joint and coat health. Supplements like fish oil and glucosamine may also be beneficial, depending on your vet’s guidance.
Shepskies have a dense double coat that sheds seasonally and requires regular care. Weekly brushing is essential year-round, with daily brushing during heavy shedding months (spring and fall). Baths should be occasional—roughly every 1–2 months or as needed—using a gentle, dog-safe shampoo. We begin bath exposure early, so your puppy will be familiar and comfortable with the process.
We want our puppies to succeed in their new homes. For families who live nearby, we’re happy to provide continued support through training, socialization, and daycare services specifically for our litters. Whether you need help with behavior, grooming comfort, or basic obedience, we’re here to assist.
Life can be unpredictable. If, for any reason, you are unable to keep your Shepsky, we ask that you return the dog to us instead of surrendering to a shelter or rescue. Our commitment to these puppies doesn’t end when they leave our home—we are here for them throughout their lives. Every dog deserves a safe, loving home, and we’re proud to be part of that promise.
Shepskies are a cross between the German Shepherd and the Siberian Husky, blending the intelligence, loyalty, and trainability of the Shepherd with the energy, independence, and striking looks of the Husky. This mix produces a versatile companion that thrives in active homes and enjoys both mental and physical stimulation. Shepskies tend to form strong bonds with their people, often showing a mix of protective instincts and social openness. They are typically medium to large in size with a thick double coat, erect ears, and expressive eyes that may be blue, brown, or one of each.
Most Shepskies are intelligent, alert, and people-focused. They do well with consistent training and clear structure, especially when started young. Their energy levels can vary—some lean more toward the Husky’s playful nature, while others carry the calm steadiness of the German Shepherd. Shepskies are often described as loyal, affectionate, and great with families. Many love outdoor adventures, but they also enjoy time indoors with their people. Socialization and early training help bring out their best traits and ensure they grow into confident, well-rounded dogs.
Shepskies are generally healthy dogs, especially when bred from sound lines and raised in a stable home environment. Common health considerations may include hip dysplasia, eye conditions, or skin sensitivities due to their dense coat. Regular vet checkups and a balanced diet help maintain overall health. Their thick coat sheds seasonally and requires regular brushing—especially during spring and fall—to keep it clean and reduce loose fur. Daily walks, playtime, and some form of mental enrichment (like training or puzzle toys) are ideal for keeping them happy and well-behaved. With proper care, Shepskies are loyal, lively companions ready for both action and affection.
Our Shepsky puppies are bred from carefully selected parents with a focus on health, structure, and temperament. While Shepskies as a breed can vary widely, our lines consistently produce puppies with a more German Shepherd–leaning build and personality. These dogs are expected to be large, with mature weights ranging anywhere from 90 to 120 pounds. Shadow, the sire, comes from a line known for size—his own father was exceptionally large—and even Shadow’s first litter exceeded the standard growth charts for both parent breeds.
Physically, the puppies will have thick, double-layered coats, predominantly black with occasional markings, providing excellent insulation for colder climates. Shadow thrives in the snow, and we expect his offspring will enjoy similar winter conditions. However, their dense coats also make them sensitive to heat. Because of this, all puppies will be introduced early to water and baths to help them acclimate to warm-weather care routines. Past litters have shown a strong interest in swimming, which offers both cooling and enrichment during warmer months.
Temperament-wise, we expect these puppies to be highly intelligent, alert, and quick to learn. Past litters have consistently shown advanced problem-solving skills and a surprising level of awareness for their age. We've seen puppies figure out how to open doors, communicate clearly when they want water, and even outsmart their littermates during play—waiting patiently to ambush a toy or redirecting attention to claim a favored spot. These are dogs that think ahead, observe patterns, and act with purpose. They enjoy engagement and do best when mentally stimulated. Because of their strong cognitive traits, we recommend smart dog training toys, puzzle feeders, and structured learning routines to help them thrive. With the right guidance and enrichment, they grow into incredibly capable, well-mannered companions who enjoy working with their people.
All of our puppies are placed through an application and screening process to ensure they are matched with committed, well-prepared homes. We take this responsibility seriously and will only place puppies with individuals or families who agree to the care guidelines, return policy, and expectations outlined above. Completing an application does not guarantee placement. Our priority is finding homes that are a strong fit—physically, emotionally, and practically—for a large, intelligent, high-needs breed. If these standards are not met or agreed to, we will not proceed with the adoption. This process helps protect the well-being of our dogs and ensures they grow up safe, supported, and loved.
